I love new vehicles, their smell, their look, the no (usually) worry driving---this f150 makes 12 brand new ones, and 6 rental return buys or factory auction ones. Bunch of used also. I bought a new f100 in 1976 (I was 2 months shy of 19) it was a 77 model--I took it to Guttenburg Iowa and had captains chairs and a console put in it, a sun roof installed, dual chrome sidepipes, cragars with goodyear tires, black taneau cover, some painted on graphics, padded velour on the doors and around the sunroof, the truck was dark jade metallic--sharp for its time---corny now! total price was 6300. I got broadsided 2 months later and truck was totaled--I almost was also--9 days in intensive care--I am about 8 years shy of retirement now---I imagine trading days will slow down with retirement.

Been retired for 5 years still driving the 2000 F350 powerstroke. Bought it used and put 100k more miles on it. Thinking of having the interior redone and fixing a few more minor things.....But.....I do love the new ones. I think I would buy a new one in the next few years.

I have to get my wife out of the 2000 V10 Excursion with 180k on it. It worries me and besides she has hit the garage three times with it. She needs something smaller.

Yours will serve you well and wait until you are out of warranty or get certified performance parts from Ford and installed at the dealer to keep the warranty good....I think....???
