By and large the neighborhood kids are here and gone by 7:00 p.m. The kids who are bused in from other neighborhoods keep coming until well after 9:00. We usually run out of candy by around 8:00 or so. We usually buy about 8-10 pounds of the "fun size" bars and never have leftovers. What troubles me is that some of the "kids" are clearly of high school age and they are carrying their own babies.
 
My sister had an exchange at the supermarket recently. She was buying her usual several boxes of Mother's cookies and was at the checkout line. The woman in front of her, after learning that the cookies were for Halloween said "I want to go to your neighborhood". The conversation progressed and the woman said that in her neighborhood they give out drinks. My sister thought she meant juice boxes and such, but the woman said "no, alcoholic drinks for the parents". My sister said "I want to go to YOUR neighborhood!
