So I get this phone call from the boss around 11:30am. He is actually taking a coulpe of days off, so I was surprised to get a call from him. Seems that I was emailing him with adds for Viagra or whatever from my hotmail account. Well I do not have internet access from my phone and could not have been doing that. I get home and check my in box and have 60 messages with the 11:30am timestamp , most are the failure to deliver messages. I have had my hotmail account for a least 14 years. So needless to say I have many address in there, many are dead thus the 60 returned failure to deliver messages. Guess that I need to change my password. :beat So if someone got an email from me, sorry but it was not me. :po

There was a massive denial of service attack on mail servers thursday. Bunch of emails with "Here you have" in the subject line. The email contains a link that contains a virus. Our servers got hit late yesterday afternoon, and my work phone all but exploded. It hit anything enterprise, Federal and private sector. Google, yahoo, etc got hit as well.

What is happening to your account sounds alot like what this virus does. Gets into your system somehow, seeks out all contacts, then sends it to them. It could possibly be related.

Run a scan, then change your password, just to be on the safe side.

Had the same think happen to me..I changed my password in my email and also on my facebook account..then it stopped..I think it is happening through facebook

Happened to me and my wife, both on AOL. Wife doesn't have Facebook. Neither of us were online when it happened. Sounds exactly like what hit fd. Changed password wad all I could do. Computer I use email on was shutdown at the time it happened, so it wasn't on my system.
