If I had...

My cousin had one of those back in the day. His was a red GT with a slipping C6. :lol "I gotta get the bands tightend on trany" One other thing his had was rust. :beat Seeing that it was a SW Pennsylvania car. fd

I like the old Cougars as well (and I am talking about the cars Mid, LOL!)

A buddy of mine back in high school had one that was really nice. His dad ran a local auto shop and had restored it for him.

I started to like those older Fair lanes when a buddy of mine in the local car club bought one a while back. He already owned several older Mustangs and was working on a restoration of a '67 fastback. He got a really sweet deal on the Fair lane with a rebuilt 289...he bought it in Louisiana and drove it home. It's a beater car that isn't pretty but just something he bought to cruise around in while he finished the fast back.

You guys are killing me......

I'd eagerly remove my right nut with a spork for that Fairlane..... and I've got the money..... but it's ear-marked for the soon to begin construction of the man cave addition onto the shop..... so I don't have the money......

Dammit! From this point forward I prohibit the posting of any Fairlanes for sale.

You have my sympathy Dave.

I've got the money and could probably make the time if I really wanted to. Well, I've got the money if I don't have the Mustang painted and the front brakes converted to disc.

But I can't do much about the space issue not to mention the wife would be less than pleased if I were to go buy it. I'd end up have to rent a storage place.

My father in law has a 67 Fairlane vert sitting in his carport. It technically my wife's car. And it comes home with me as soon as we move to a place with more room.

Cut from the craigslist ad.....

Price is negotiable but don’t low ball me.

.... because I have to sell the car and am desperate so I'll probably take any offer that's presented.

The guy was trying to sell the Firebird four or five months ago for around $8k. I figured he had sold it since I hadn't seen his listing for a while. Guess not. Half tempted to go offer him $3k and if he takes it. Might make a pretty good flip depending on what kind of shape the car is in. I do know some of those older Camaros / Firebirds if nicely done can bring in some real money.

How about this 66 Dave?
