I was 12 or 13 when my dad brought home some from the strip mine where he worked, a neighbor wanted to blow out a beaver dam in a crick, he put 5 charges in the dam and it was like the guy described, it felt like the ground dropped from beneath you. Huge logs were dropping from the sky, things were a lot more lax then!
