In the Words of Midlife........

"It's the people, dummy!"... :char
I remember those words every time I meet someone new in this hobby...

Ronda & I met Craig (aka Tarafied) and Tara yesterday in St. Louis. Had a great lunch together and chatted just like we've "known" each other for years. It's funny how that works EVERY time you meet someone in person that you've known online for years.

It doesn't matter what message board(s) you use, what car you own, or what part of the world you're from - it's the PEOPLE in this hobby that we enjoy the most! The cars are just a way to help us meet more great people! :thu

On a related note:
The Stangfix drag car now has a heavy duty Currie 9" housing and 31 spline Currie axles - and my Saleen now has a nice 3.55 geared 8.8 to go back under it. I call that a win-win for all! :yah

Very cool. Oh and BTW, if you think that Craig is a nice guy..................... :bowdown

Thanks for the kind words Bob and the great trade!
It turns out I knew Bob online even longer than I realized as he was also GT350Clone and I followed the problems and progress of his Granada spindles and modified suspension on his awesome Fastback.
As Bob said, our wives and us could have talked for hours and hours! It was great to sit a spend a little time with such a nice couple.
Thanks again Bob!

It was a great time. Hope you guys enjoyed your "get-a-way weekend" as well! :pbj

Here's a link to some of my Mustang pictures, so you can show Tara the various cars we talked about: http://www.sunflower.com/~vervaecke/index.htm

Sorry I missed it. We didn't end up going to pick up that Valiant either. Didn't want to trek a trailer with snowy roads down there.

You are so right... :thu
I remember when I needed $20...I just took it from Craig's wallet. What a nice guy. :roll :roll :roll Oops...wrong Craig. :hide :yah
