Installing Mustang II cross member

Hey all,
I have ordered my Mustang II suspension cross member from Rod and Custom's but it'll be another 6 weeks before it get over here to me!! i was going to start pulling out the shock towers on my 67 however she is currently up on a Rotisserie. Should i take it off the rotisserie and put it down on a dolly before i start ripping them out? I am also replacing the radiator support and cross member..Should i be worries about any structural issues?

Thanks,

Johnny

Yes. That thing will collapse like a fainting goat if you do it on the rotisserie.

I would suggest waiting for the instructions before cutting anything. Can you download them?

I agree.

Support the unibody from below, because in addition to cutting out the shock towers you will need to shave off the pinch weld along the front frame rail.
This further weakens the front end, when you install the cross member and upper control arm brackets it "boxes" the front end.

My advice (after putting one in) would be to drop it down onto jack stands, cut everything out and clean the rails, then just about the time you get around to finishing removal of all the pieces it will arrive. R&C has a great kit, two thumbs up.
