Insurance company and deer hit

I got a call from the adjustor on my truck friday after she got my estimate, she said she was going to look for "recycled" or aftermarket parts , I replied that it was a 2007 with 35,000 miles on it, she said in Illinois she could use either or new, I said that is fine but if there is one scratch or fit issue they would be doing it again, I got a message from her yesterday that she ok'd my estimate using oe parts, I called her and thanked her.

Nice. It's always funny when you put their feet to the fire. My wife got in an accident when we had the '90 7-up car. They wanted to use aftermarket and I laughed in their face. The car was "driveable" but after listening to her (ins rep) and telling her how her job was gonna be done, I decided to declare the car "unsafe for the road". (Dang taillight got busted) It wasn't my wife's fault so we proceeded to get a rental after the rep wanted to "tell me what they were gonna do" and that dang busted taillight was noticed. It took a looooong time for the oe quarter to come in. To the tune of a rental car bill that cost 'em almost $3000.

Yeah, insurance companies can be cheapskates, especially with body work. But if you make them aware that it may cost them more in the long run, they'll usually come around.

the fox body convertible, special edition. i think it had white interior and roof?

edit: I also believe they are dark green.

Yours has the wrong wheels...... :bird

The referenced spec sheet does not specify white wheels BUT it does say white interior...... :bird :bird

Actually both have the wrong wheels. It came with the turbines. Interior and top was white. Those have '91 model wheels. :bird

Well Rick's is double wrong. They didn't have the spoiler in '90 either. It was a luggage rack. IIRC the stripe in Pete's was not how it came in '90. So both of you are back to even. Back to the :bird fest.

Hell, I drink CC and COKE anyway..............the green is not correct for 7 UP either...so many wrongs......

How's this...

Somebody finally found the car. Whoever painted those wheels ought to be shot. That is hideous. Put some stock grays on it and that was it. Fun little car. Sad day when that thing got swiped by a BIG truck. Even sadder I couldn't get the drivetrain out of it.
