Ipad/Itunes Help?

I've crossed to the dark side and bought the newest iPad. I'm tired of carrying a heavy laptop on trips and decided to try this. Of course, my Windows Vista laptop is now jealous, and won't let me open the Itunes store--it locks up every time. Also, I have about 3 gb of my cd music in the laptop.

I've gone to one of my office computers to download a couple movies and some bigger apps that I need to work the ipad (pages, iphoto). Once I sync to that computer to get the necesssary stuff, how do I get my own music to download off my laptop without resynching? My laptop is now rejecting all Apple products it seems. Help?

Try deleting the copy of ITunes you have. I had that problem om my old PC with XP. Deleted it and re installed it and it ran fine.

I hate this IPad. Wish I would have gotten a LapTop instead. Had a problem transferring video over to and ended up at the Apple Store and was told to "Invest in a Mac and your troubles will be over". Searched around the Internet and found handbrake. Problem solved. Now the battery is acting up. Nothing like a souped up Commodore 64 to hassle you.

Easiest way may be to connect the Ipad to the laptop and then copy/paste your Itunes folder over to the Ipad if the folder on the Ipad is empty. Other option is to copy & paste the contents of the laptop's Itunes folder into the Ipad's Itunes folder.

If I delete Itunes would I lose my library? I have about 800 songs in there and don't want to load them again. Once was enough.

How would I do that? Sorry, this is new to me.

Did you download them? If so they'll be in your purchased music and such.

No, they're all my own CDs that I uploaded. I did download Itunes again and had it do a repair. Still nothing.
