Is the Windshield Moulding/ Header Available for a 68 Convertible? WTB

My father in law just had his 68 convertible windshield replaced and the guy that did it banged up and dented his Header Moulding. This is the windshield moulding that surrounds the windshield and the header on top. It is made of stainless steel. The company that did the work said no problem and said they ordered a complete 5 piece set brand new.

I told him that it isn't reproduced at this time and he disagreed. So, who is right?

Does anyone have a good used Header Moulding for a 68 Convertible, and isn't the 67 the same? How much are they worth? Thanks

As far as I know the exterior moulding for a 68 vert is not reproduced. The interior trim is reproduced but they suck. The trim on the exterior of a 68 actually has 2 pieces across the top. It wasn't one that goes all the way across the windshield.

As far as what they are worth, I have no idea. It all depends on what two buyers want to spend. :$$$

I don't know how anyone could damage the top moulding it bolts on. No they are not making them. I always straighten the original ones because the repops are junk.

I don't believe there are any repops for the convertible. The windshield tech couldn't get the bolts in so he hammered the brackets on the moulding and they bent from the other side...according to my father in law.

Anyone have a used one for sale?
