Is this a good deal for a cobra motor and trans

It looks like the car was in an accident at some point with a collision impact on the passengers side (and possibly elsewhere). My only concern would be broken or stress cracked parts that you cannot see from the pictures. I know I have seen people do the IRS setup on a classic stang, but I thought the 03-04 terminator IRS was much more desirable and worth the effort? What are you looking to do with it? Install it in your car or an upcoming project? At 90k or so on the tranny I'm guessing you'll have to put some money into that and maybe more.

I also don't recall the early SN95 Cobra's coming supercharged and the pictures make it look like a Paxton or Procharger has been added on. You never know what kind of backward ass tuning could be done on that motor. If it was me, I'd save up for a 03-04 terminator mod motor or even go for the newer 4.6L in the S197's. I've seen those go for $3-5k complete with tranny and the computer. You're definitely getting more bang for your buck IMHO.

Walk away. It has a Vortech unit on it not a "stock" Ford system. That's a good indication the motor was run hard. Goes to show the ignorance (or deceitfulness) of the seller. Do you really believe someone had a 60k mile motor rebuilt by Ford? How many people do you know that have had Ford rebuild their motors?

There is so much here to scare you away and very little of anything to entice one to buy.

Thanks guys just wondering always wanted a mod motor my 347 is still basically freshly built and runs great but if anything ever happens to his one I'm gonna go with a mod motor in the future and I'm always on the lookout for a good deal especially local
