IT'S SO DRY Here, the Baptists are starting to baptize by sprinkling, the Methodists are using wet-wipes, the Presbyterians are giving rain checks, and the Catholics are praying for the wine to turn back into water!

You guys in the south usually get some rain once in a while--the crops are burning up in a lot of the midwest--corn hit record high prices last week---hang on at the grocery checkout about winter--the prices will shoot up.

The rabbits don't need to burrow this summer, they just use the gaping cracks in the ground as cover.

We got a short storm today. Then the oppressive heat and humidity came back.

...around here we call it June, July, August, September and maybe October.

...and sometimes May and November!

...which then goes right back to high temps AND steam!! Mother natures way of getting you back into the swing of sweating after the rain rinsed it all off. The high humidity/steam just fills in temporarily until that good old sweat starts flowing again naturally!

It is more than whine here, we can stand the heat but add the drought and every one suffers from the crop shortages--not far from me farmers have already mowed off corn crops that are not going to produce any crop, beef prices are rising because of rising hay/feed prices---not going to be pretty.
