Training service dogs is a whole lot cheaper than kids!

5 more reasons service dogs are better than kids:

You can send them back if they don't behave.
Illegal to deny restaurant access to a service dog.
They'll still visit you in the nursing home.
SD clothes are cheap.
It's not weird when the dog "watches".

You forgot

Service dogs (puppies get bonus points) are chick magnets!
They clean up their own vomit
They shart outside
You can lock them in a crate and it's OK
They never ask for the keys
They never ask for money
They'll never come home with a date that has baggy pants and a nose ring
They never talk back

The list goes on and on!

Bob, you're getting off cheap. Check out the rates at Pepperdine..... I am blessed to be able to fund my son's education.

Oh, I realize that the midwest schools ARE "cheap" in comparison... We also looked at Washington University in St Louis and William Jewell.
We're currently thru 10 semesters/5 years of cash-flowing TWO kids thru college back-to-back - just 6 semesters to go!!! The first kid was cheaper - different state school, with better scholarships available. They just keep raising the rates and getting tighter with scholarship $$$... I think I'll still be out-of-pocket over $100k by the time this is all done. :roll I absolutely refuse to saddle them (or myself) with any type of loans.

Wait until you have to marry them off and pay for the wedding...

I have two, and will be investing in some long ladders when the time comes.

I only had the one daughter. We sold our house and rented for 5 years to pay for her tier one college. For her wedding, we lucked out and found an Italian-style mansion that had been donated to a historical society with the provision veterans would have free use of it (still dropped +$15K). Ten years later she's still married and we've got 4 beautiful grandkids--priceless!

Yep, did the wedding thing LAST year - Youngest graduated HS on May 13, oldest graduated college May 15, then got married June 19th....
Ate a LOT of beans & rice to survive THAT 5-week span! :hs
