I got this marketing brochure in the mail Friday. Test drive a Jag and get $100 Amex card. Done deal. My daughter and I took a drive in the XJ L Portfolio on Saturday.

By comparison my current cars are in the stone age. Damn high end new cars have so many bells and whisltes I was affraid to touch anything. But man the standard engine is 385hp. :thu Of course it was only $98k That sucker moves. :steer

My theory on why I get such offers is that when there are any surveys either online or contests I always pick the highest income bracket. Marketeers I'm sure pay for such high income info and send out offers accordingly. Over the years I've recieved some nice freebies for just a look at their product.
 
You must either have a thick hide or simply turn down the hearing aid for when they try to pressure you into buying. Nice $100 perk, just in time for Knott's.

I got a $50 dollar debit gift card from Nissan over 2 weeks ago for a test drive, I have not heard another word from them. Already spent the 50 bucks.
 
My guess is the guy knew I wasn't that serious about a car at that price. He was nice and told us all about the car. He did ask when I would consider buying and I said it would be a retirement car. At that point I think he gave up.

I usually walk in the show room and show them the offer to which I say "I want to take full advantage of this". The last couple times they out right ask if I really want the drive or just the sign-off. I take the sign-off and leave.

I needed to add I got a $500. gas card for buying a Murano--just started using that.

You think that's fast???? Try the 510 hp XKR, THAT'S FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
