are you guys under water? It's getting pretty bad here. I'm gonna go out and take some pics later of the flooding. That's all that's on the TV, I-24 is under water.

We're waterlogged ~400 miles northwest of them. I can't imagine it raining much harder about now; I hope those guys are OK.

Lot of people lost everything, lot of people are lucky to be alive. My place is on high ground, so i'm fine, but I had a pretty exciting drive home from Franklin, TN Sat. afternoon! I hope Steve and Jon are OK.
The city really took a hit. Could get worse if the Cumberland River spills over.

the rain is just now stopped or slowed. It has been constant for two days! Nashville has cancelled flights and closed highways. It's the only thing on the TV. It's gonna be a while to clean up after this one! So many houses under water...

thanks for the kind thoughts! i'm o.k. with nothing but a yard full of water here, but it's really bad all around. just got elec service back on after being out all day. i'm sure glad i ruled out any low ground when i was house hunting, lots who didn't are in really bad shape right now. finally got thru to jon & he's o.k. too.

Memphis was smacked around pretty good as well. Half the city was flooded. Memphis in may was all but cancelled. I can't count how many times the tornado sirens went off. Millington had a levee burst and flooded the naval base. They had to evacuate the entire base. All the on base housing was underwater. Tennessee is a mess. There's even parts on I 40 that are closed between Memphis and Nashville.

TDOT reporting 185 cars with people in them trapped on I-40 west of Nashville with water in front of them and behind them.

Thanks for asking Craig and everyone else, we made out OK, just water running through the yard, on high ground. Steve and I were texting back/forth on Sat. We were land locked on Sat. at the streets were washed over on both sides of our neighborhood so we couldn't leave. I'm just south of Nashville off I-24 but we've got a lot of road damage where the side of the road washed away and collapsed. I thought I was done with flooding after I moved from the N.O. area after 40yrs. of flooding/hurricanes every year. It looks like Katrina all over again downtown.
I'll have to post some pics I took in my neighborhood since I couldn't leave.

Jon
