Yes, I am alive....just been busy with work, boys' baseball, took my level one Krav test last Saturday, etc, etc.

Just thought I'd check in quickly and say hello.

And here we thought you went over to the Firebird forum. :sarc

No, I have a membership on a couple of them but rarely (if ever) visit those forums.

I did get new springs and bushing put in the front end of the Trans Am then got it over to the alignment shop.

It's overdue inspection however...having a problem with one of the front turn signals not working. We have it narrowed down to the specific wire that has a short (or is cut) but debating either just saying screw it and replacing the whole headlight harness or taking the time to figure out exactly where that particular wire has gone bad. Thinking just replacing the whole harness might be the best bet...if that one wire is bad then likely some others aren't far behind since they are also +/- 30 years old.

Always something :)

You probably grew a mullet while you've been gone too. Got to fit in at those Fireturd forums!

Nah....mullets are for red necks like you. :roll

Did get the turn signal working today though. Had it narrowed down to one wire so I started tracing it. Came to an older looking splice I was skeptical about so on a hunch I cut the wire off and ran new wire from just before the splice forward. It worked so while everything was operating correctly I ran it to the shop around the corner and got it inspected.

May eventually replace the harness anyway but since they cost the better part of $200 at least I bought myself some time or bought myself a year till it's due another inspection at a minimum.

Drives much better with the new tires and the new bushings / springs in the front end. After work settles down a bit (late April or early May) I plan to drop the gas tank out, patch up a small bad spot in the trunk and replace the leaf springs.

It'll get there eventually....
