Just get a bigger hose

Yesterday I was helping the Ferrari guys next door try to loosen up the knock off cap on the car they have in the shop. We were using a good size air gun, big long wrench and a long piece of pipe for leverage, but two of the wheels refused to give in. The old man then said "Hey let's increase the volume of air going to the gun by getting a larger diameter hose and tap it into the drain cock of the compressor". I snickered and called it a night.

This morning I was working and suddenly heard the air gun go off for just a brief moment. The old fart comes over smiling. Damn if that didn't work. He didn't have any helpers. Just him and the gun.

So for all you men, if you need more volume.....get a bigger hose :lol

I was all pissed off that my new impact gun wasn't putting out the torque I thought it should. An acquaintance who works in NASCAR recommended getting a good 1/2 inch hose. I tried one he loaned me, made a huge difference.

Not just hose, but sometimes it helps to oversize the pipe. :sur
