I was at Laguna Seca all day today. Took the '67 and parked in the Shelby corral....inside the track area.
Much nicer than parking out in the dirt. I took loads of pics which I'll post tomorrow. Right now I need to sit down and rest. All day outside and climbing to the corkscrew is tough on an old guy.

I always like that event. And the corkscrew is one of the coolest place to watch the cars. Back in 1997 or 98 I was sitting there at the corkscrew under the shade of those trees and standing at the barrier when Parnelli (driving a '70 Boss), powered through the top corner, got air, and when the car came down, broke the left front a-arm! He limped it back to the pits. He certainly wasn't giving any quarter, even though there was no championship on the line! We had watched him take that corner the same way for a few laps prior to the a-arm failing.

Did you post photos anywhere?
