Kahoona check time---I could not ever do this!

That's frick'n AWESOME!!

Buying my plane ticket tonight.

I will admit that my fear of heights will cause some heavy sweating before the jump, but it's always worth it. I've been on a giant drop/swing in Kansas City, bungee jumped from 200' over the St.Johns river in Florida and been skydiving. The fun far outweighs the fear :pbj

It's one "feeling" pinhead.

Nice to see we have at least a couple more "MEN" here. It was starting to get overcrowded with all these Eunuchs!

Not too much on heights. I have been 180' on a flare stack. For those of you that don't know 180 is pretty high up. Over 500 is insane. you can check my manhood if you want but I know my limits.

Check out the videos on youtube of "bridge day" up in WV. It's the New River Gorge Bridge which is freakin' huge. Every year they close it off for people to base jump off of. We'll be heading up there again this year. I'm not a base jumper but there is talk they may start bungee jumping from it again. I hope so.

Did the bungie jump thing off the New River Gorge Bridge, back in the 80's. Shame they stopped that, my 16yr old son said he go off with me if they restart. For the time being I'll be content with pulling the raft out below it. It is a beautiful place and nearly 900' above the water. kip

Sweet. Have you ran the upper gauley during fall dam release in a 6 man boat? It can be friggin' brutal, awesome, but brutal.

No, not yet. My buddy in Roanoke has talked about us going up there for the fall release but I haven't made it yet. He's done it in a kayak (he's a little nuts!). 6 man raft is the way to go in my book! Thats what we take down the New river, so much more fun than the huge rafts that just plow through all the good stuff, much easier to surf and play in the 6man. kip

The kayakers during fall release are crazy. Make sure to request a good guide for the trip. They can make it or break it. We've taken some brutal hits before. Just remember to go "room of doom" and "high side". They'll know what you're talking about. They run groups of 5 or 6 boats and they would set up rescue for us as we came through. I've got a pic of the front and back of our boat touching with us sandwiched in the middle. In order to make the 12ft drop we had to crash a rock (hence the sandwich), bounce off, and make the drop backwards. It was crazy. We tried it the next year and actually rode up the rock dumping all of us into the "toilet bowl". Needless to say there were many ropes being tossed. We used to run it every year and after that particular dump two of our guys decided they were done with rafting. We have yet to acquire two more. If you ever think of running it and need another person let me know.
