Kansas tornadoes

So far, they been skirting to the north just enough. They've been in all rural areas, so far, no fatalities or bad damage. Although they are currently saying a big one is on the ground heading into Wichita.

i thought in kansas, that was called a "little wind"?? keep your head down, i hate those things, almost as much as fire....

"A little wind" is anything below 60 mph. What we had last night...all frigg'n night, was a LOT of wind. Super cell after super cell would pop up out of nowhere and quickly spawn off tornadoes. Thankfully, most were over rural areas and there was minimal damage except in Wichita. Looks like they had a direct hit at Boeing.
Didn't get much sleep last night, kept watching the radar. There was a tornado on the ground that was heading in a straight line very near my house, but by the time the cell got close, it had disappeared.

I think wind damage to a 289 crankshaft is covered by homeowner's insurance... wink, wink

I wonder what my local agent would say????

He'd ask if you had Federal Flood Insurance; someone has to pay for all that kitty litter!

Glad you guys made it through okay Mark.
Now we're referring to Mark and his ears as "you guys"? I know they're big but do they really deserve that much acknowledgement?
