Keep my A/C?

My 67 came factory with A/C...I have all the favtory stuff.

What do I need to do to have good A/C? What will need upgraded? Go aftermarket? Dump my A/C and roll the windows down?

Changing the compressor to the newer Sanden type should save some hp and wt. I believe you can go either route, restore to original, keep as much factory as you want changing just under the hood or change the whole system with this co.:http://www.classicautoair.com/
There are a couple other co.'s, just can't remember them at the moment, other's will chime in.

They have a few options but switching to 134A will make it much more affordable and easier to find.

Don't know where you live but for many of us due to weather the car wouldn't get used much in the summer with just the windows down.

Amen to that. In the summer, AC is like life support here in DFW TX area.
