Just out of curiosity, how many posts do we need about one event? I realize you guys are trying to plan a large gathering of members and non-members, just seems like it could all be contained in one or two posts. :beat :beat

Hmmm... that is what they used to say at that other site...everyone gets bent out of shape the NorCal kicks ass!!! ;)

They would be lucky to find their ass with posts scattered all over the place...... It really doesnt bother me other than they keep popping up in the unread posts....
 
OK, I'll let you into my mind for a moment. You can get bent if you will but it makes since to me.

1- we post it and ask for a sticky. It gets put in events. Good thing.
2- Many people who may be interested may not look at events much. This the post in Gum Flappers. Good thing
3- Since there is another thread in an area more popular there may be more traffic directed to the events detailed post.

Is that clear as mud? Oh, and over on the other site, I have to putin the general and the NorCal and SoCal and The Southwest forums. What a PIA!


This is a big event for the West coasters, Kinda like CFX or MBB....So maybe it deserves the same attention?

I agree with your line of thinking Mel.... post the info wherever you feel ALL members will see the info. If it's multiple forums/boards, so be it.

It sucked last year to read comments AFTER MBBII from guys that didn't hear about the event.

It is a lot of fun and a highlight of the year for many of us. It'd be great to see more people attend from outside CA. Uncle Vinny and Toni fly out every year.

I would assume most everybody uses the unread post link at the top of the page. Its damned annoying seeing it a whole bunch of times. A little more condensed would be helpful. Just my .02 :beat :vic
 
OK, so far I have KBMWRS, CMAYNA, and GARNER67. Please PM me if you intend to go to Outback, and also if you intend to reserve a room through me.

You can reserve your room in the Marriott without me if you choose, or even somewhere else. I am trying to make sure I get enough rooms before they sell out. I also need to make sure I reserve enough room at Outback. I would like to know about the rooms buy the end of the month.

Make sure to pm me so I can add you to my spreadsheet. If you list it in this thread I may not see it. If I am on the road, I get my email daily and the PMs email me.
