So, for those who remember the story, I was asking lots of questions and talking to Herb, Dne's engine guy. In the end - Herb gave me lots of free advice, and hooked my up with some one local to rebuild my engine, and not purchase a new one from him.

I can't say enough about Herb, he seems to be a supper honest guy, and would of loved to give him my business. He saved me both time and money with his free advice!

Plan to drop the engine back in this weekend!

Herb is a good guy, he built the 302 in the Mustang for me.

I sent him a couple of questions about Pontiac motors not so long ago and he gave me some tips.

Still torn though between trying to beef up my numbers matching 403 or saying screw it and building a 400 :confu

Right now though it's not knocking and not burning any oil so I am leaving it alone and focusing my time, money and energy in other areas of the TA.
