Labor Day

So nice to have a three day weekend coming up. Time for some work on the cars, maybe a nice cruise someplace, family and friends getting together, some good food and drink, plenty of relaxing..........and then.....oh, wait, that is all the time for me...... Hope everybody has an enjoyable weekend.

I'm planning on finally tackling some sheetmetal work this weekend. The weather is supposed to be more forgiving than it has been for the last 2 months. Mid 80s, no humidity.

I have a buddy coming over to help me hunt raccoons...

Saturday, Tarified is showing up to get the parts car I have. Then I will clean the garage floor and begin detailing the stang for my sons wedding on the 11th.

The "new" slave cylinder on my Jeep...... that I just replaced last winter.... is pissing fluid again. I'll pull the transfer case and transmission tonight and hopefully have it all back together and fixed before our usual saturday night party begins. With the 3 day weekend, our usual party has been extended to a "2 day'er" as we'll continue drinking on sunday night.

Did you shine up the stripper pole Dave?? ......or will that take place naturally ??

I plan to Make it to three car shows. Cars and coffee tomorrow morning in Plano, frisco show tomorrow night, and the fuzzy taco show in Richardson on Sunday . Yes, the restaurant is called fuzzy taco. Have a great weekend all.

Craig (tarafied) in Dallas? Will beer be consumed? Need help?

WTF is a 3 day weekend?

Friday = working
Saturday = working
Sunday = working
Monday = working

Too many idiots on the lake on holidays anyway. We will have the whole lake to ourselves on Tuesday.

Sat = working on engine
Sunday = working on engine if Sat is a bust
Mon = working on engine if the previous 2 days don't pan out
Tues = placing big bottle of tannerite on engine and detonating if the previous 3 days don't go well.

Somewhere in there I've GOT to mow the grass. It's up to my @$$ after this rain.

I am going to attempt to remove and replace the full passenger side front frame rail. I say attempt because my projects always take about 5 times longer than I think they will. I'll be drilling out spot welds first thing in the morning and hopefully welding new stuff in sometime late in the afternoon.

I hope everyone has a good and safe weekend!

Lets see... What will I be doing this weekend.

Saturday morning we're driving down to Katy to buy some parts for Gertrude so I can put her new shiney bumpers on finally.
Saturday afternoon/evening... putting on the new parts.
Sunday... hopefully playing with my new grinder some more and fixing the hole in the inner fender apron.

Monday... TBD. My son has no school, but my daughter does since her school is on the college schedule and college classes are still going Monday. That will probably be just a normal day of slacking. Unless I find something else to tinker with on Gertrude.

SHAG.....SHAG & more SHAG. All weekend long working on the turd. Only 3 more weekends before we drive to MITM.

I played a gig tonite and off to the lake tomorrow. I see a lot of tequila in the very near future.

Work tonight and watch LSU whoop up on a decimated UNC team. Tomorrow, play a little golf with my son then work in the evening. Monday, weather permitting, detail the Mustang and the daily driver, Lord knows they need it!
