Ladies and gentlemen, my wife's work.

....and I bet you said "oh darn, I really had other plans today"...
Actually, I said nothing. Just took the damned door apart and she took the kids to the in laws house for a few hours. Since I work night shift now, I was supposed to be asleep. Nope, I had to hammer the crap out of a door and MacGyver it back together.

We did share something else in common. I also said nothing! As a matter of fact, the wife took note of it and even mentioned the fact I had said nothing!! We're probably of the same mindset though. If we did say anything, what would it help? Ehhhh, it's fixable! ;);)

Oh she was the same way. I was literally speechless. And I knew why she hit the door, but I kept my mouth shut. No point in losing it when she already felt like crap for hitting the door. So I just fixed it while they were gone, and didn't bring it up again. I still think she thinks I'm pissed about it.

Like you, I knew the reason....and I'd told her a zillion times before not to do what she continually did (follow too closely!). I too knew the wife felt like crap (she was actually in tears when she called me). She thanked me on the way home for not saying anything about it. I probably felt worse though. She was on her way to work when it happened and I had just left the house for work. When she told me she had a wreck the first thing I asked was "how bad is the car?", followed by "are you okay?". I realized the order of my questions after getting off the phone. Boy did I feel like an ass!

The wife paid her penance for her incident. She was relegated to driving a little Corolla rental for a month that was trashed inside! She got just her car back the week before last.

My wife has the gift of breaking things in spectacular ways. This isn't the first time she's tangled with the garage door.

I've made sure to share your wife's work with mine. That way she knows she's not alone in her efforts! LOL

I haven't decided if you are all brave or stupid. There is no way I would post pictures of any mistake my wife made, on the internet. Oh I must add (to protect my backside) My wife has never made a mistake, much less ever been wrong as long as I have known her.

She posted it on Facebook for the world to see, so I'm in the clear. And she doesn't know my login or screen name here. Bases covered.
