For the record... I HATE moving and so I'm procrastinating and posting here instead of packing. :roll We bought this house on a contract for deed but since finances didn't plan out like they were suppose to, we have to give the house back. Sucks because I really like this house, but on the good side, we found a place for rent that is $700 cheaper than the mortgage here which means I might actually be able to afford to fix up Gertrude. :thu

Speaking of Gert... this is going to be fun trying to move her from this house to the new one. No brakes so can't drive her. Going to bug some car club folks for help move her. Oh and my new seats aren't installed yet. I'm debating whether or not to put them in right now. I was thinking of just leaving them out since I'm going to start some work on her soon. That is the plan anyway. I'm dying to put on the roller perches. :yah

I guess I should go pack stuff.... :roul

First thing that comes to mind is that you always lost some things when moving.
So , I would say that all stuff that is related to Gertrude , put it in the car since you have to transport here with a tow truck or flatback truck.
Make sure nothing can move during loading Gert onto the flatback truck.
How do they say : my 5ct opinion???
B.

When it comes to moving; a friend will help you move, a really good friend will help you move a body. :hap

Sorry to hear that you have to move. Even on a good day it's a total hassle.

Like B67 suggests, when I last moved 5yrs ago. I tossed all my spare car parts into my car. It was packed, but I didn't lose a thing. At least I don't think I did.

Well luckily I don't have many parts for Gert to lose. Dash cluster, windshield, perches, & sway bar. We're only moving a few miles down the road, so that makes it a lot easier and less chance of losing anything. Oh and I got someone who has a trailer with a wench (and knows someone with a tow truck) that will help move her when it's time.

Wench? Isn't that a sleezy pirate woman?

Do you mean Winch?

Mel Hehehehehe

So, this means the Midlife will have to map out your location again.............and change the map on his garage wall..

Ok I admit I was thinking about the wench costume I had on last night.

Oh great now I'll be thinking about that tonight too. :roll :pbj

Don't think too hard about it. The outfit is nothing to get worked up over. Its just a typical Renn Faire garb. :char
Its pretty much like this.. except my top is slighly lower cut and no gold trim, and skirt is black.

And yes... I wear it to Renn Faires! :thu

Well today I'm going through my sons room. Its amazing how much stuff a 10yr old boy could possibly have. I blame my mother in law for that. She is always buying the kids stuff. I think I've thrown away about half his toys. Most are several years old and he doesn't even play with them. Broken toys. Toys with missing pieces. He doesn't need that junk. Luckily I have not found any frogs or lizards in any cardboard boxes under the bed. :skul

That's because he's storing them under your bed :roll

If he's anything like me in my younger days....if you give it a few years you would probably find some Playboys in stead of lizards, etc.

I do know what you mean about little boys and junk accumulation though...try having nine and a half year old twins.

Hehehehe, my Mom got up one morning and got in the shower and found an alligator.... He was only 3' long, but there none the less.

I brought home a few very large catfish one time, puppies and kittens and many other things....

Now cars follow me home and so do the parts.....

LOL!

I have as yet to convince the wife that cars follow me home on their own..."but look honey, it's so cute and it's cold. Look how sad the headlights look stuck out there all alone...can't we keep her?"
