I'm in San Carlos right now for about two weeks. Today, I found out that the water department is turning off all the running water in San Carlos on Monday for 10 to 15 days so they can do well maintenance. Duh, right before, and over, Memorial Day weekend?

Fortunately, I have a 200-gallon water tank and a water dispenser in the kitchen. The tank will takes over when the water supply fails, which happens on a regular basis, but not for 10 to 15 days. I drink and cook with the purified water. This is going to be like camping!

The biggest problem is our dive equipment and boat. Russ is going to cut the lid off a big plastic 80-gallon drum he has and fill it with water so we can rinse our dive equipment. And, the boat can't come out of the water until there is fresh running water available to rinse the engines. So, it will probably still be in the water when I head back up. Oh well....
