is a lincoln mk 7 suitable donor for 302 HO EFI/auto conversion for stang ? ,i dont know what yr it is yet just been told its for sale cheap

If my memory serves me correctly, the MKVII's got the 4.6 in 1996, it would have to be a car earlier than this.

Most Mk7s had the same 5.0HO as a Mustang. Some had the 140hp non-HO, but all the ones I've seen had HOs. Memory serves, most were speed density EFI, but they were the same engine.

The Mk8s had the quad cam 4.6L. :D

92 was the last year for the mk VII. in 93 the bodystyle changed along with the designation to mkVIII & the addition of the 4.6 DOHC. if you get it, make sure you keep the rear discs for a 4 whl conversion!

Yes, I'm using a 1990 Linc. MK7 5.0 HO. It will be speed density unless you change over to Mass Air. I am using an edelb. 600 carb on mine. One thing about using the linc. block is that most were driven by little old ladies and all the block usually needs is a good honing and new rings etc. to make them like new.
