Linear and non Linear Fuel Sending Units for fuel cells

Recently we have experienced a small problem. The autometer Shelby fuel gauge we use is for a non linear 10-70 ohm sending unit. We bought the jaz fuel sender but its linear so it works on full and empty but not in between. Does anyone know of a fuel sender that would work that is non linear?

I tried stock and it works great but wont fit the tank the right way as it goes in sideways and the sender mounts on the top on the cell.

I have a Centroid sender in my fuel cell hooked up to the S-W gauge, works great. IIRC the gauge is a 76/6 ohm unit.

You could call them at 386-423-3574 in Edgewater, Florida.

Oops, my original reply below was for a standard gas tank, not a fuel cel. Sorry

Wierd, but I am doing a big study on fuel sending units and gauges, but won't be published for another week+. For now, per Autometer, the only sending unit that will work for their 3515 (10-73ohm) gauges is the Ford OEM series. Otherwise people are experimenting apply 170-180 ohm resistors to the back of Autometer gauges to compensate for the crappy reproduction sending unit signals.
