Well, another MBB is in the books and by all accounts, it was a success. This years, event brought together the usual cast of characters to enjoy The Fall Bike Rally and the events of the third annual MBB. Below are some of the picturess from the festivities!

Friday night at Cooter's Backyard Bar and Grill. Turned out to be a great place to go. Food was good, bikes were a plenty and the waitresses wore really short shorts! :craz

Here's one of our waitresses asking Dave and his posse how much alcohol they plan on consuming tonight! :)

24622184013_large.jpg

Here's Dave's gang. From left to right: Gabby (Dave's wife), Billy, Duane, Tim (Dave's son), Dave, Kelly (Dave's friend) and Kim (Gabby's friend).

Home of the piggy! :coo Also, notice the cool banner? That came to MBB courtesy of 70Stangman! Thanks again Dale! :5

24622184015_large.jpg

Not only did Dale provide us with one banner, we got a mini version too! I thought it looked good in front of the Tiki bar

24622184016_large.jpg

Scott, the eventual golf champ.....AGAIN!!!! giving a celebratory high five to Dave for his efforts. Yeah, whatever. :nk Somebody has to dethrone him next year for sure!

24622184017_large.jpg

Brian and his family trying to get their mojo workin by the Triceratops!

24622184018_large.jpg

This is the teenage gang Dave brought for a weekend at the beach. I think they enjoyed the golf tournament. Other than that, we didn't see them. They were hangin at the beach.

24622184019_large.jpg

A huge thanks to Ron and Brenda for again being amazing hosts! MBBIII was a blast (literally) and it was fun to catch up with a great bunch of guys...well most of them. A few more pics:

Duane's 65. The color on this car is just beautiful. Nobody really believed he had a Mustang, but he proved us wrong.

Ron's neighbor has a 69 Mach 1 for sale. It needs a lot of attention, but also has plenty of potential. Here is the Buck Tag which decodes it as a 69 Mach 1, 351W 4V, Auto, fold down seat, black jade paint, HD cooling, and a bunch more options. Contact Ron (BeachPony) for more info:

If Scott shows up next year, I propose we stick a firecracker "youknowwhere" before the miniature golf tournament is held...seems like the only way someone else can win.

I'm sorry I couldn't make it this year due to other commitments, but I do plan on going next year! Someone has to eat all of the pig.

Any YJ left over? I thought not...

It did very well mechanically!!!! Big win. However, we pulled over in Gastonia about 30 miles from home and had to jump it off. lmao It's weird, kind of an alternator symptom, kind of a battery symptom. I'll dig into it this week but will probably go ahead and replace the alternator. Big sigh of relief after the past couple of years though.

Ryan and I talked about your problem on the way home and ryan pointed out MAYBE your Voltage Regulator is holding the alternator to 12 volts...it was weird that no matter what you did, that thing would not move from 12 volts, which is generally considered "not good enough." It is also possible the alternator's putting out nothing and the 12 volts we were seeing were 100% battery.

The square-box auto stores are able to test the alternator, which might be prudent before replacing the alternator outright.

All that said, my gut says the alt is bad.

Our camera was inactive until we went out partying after dinner on Friday night. Here are a few of them.

My buddy Kelly and Gabby.

Billy (Duane's buddy) and Duane.

Gabby and I. Yes, I'd been drinking.... just a little bit.

KaitlynBellydance015.jpg

Duane and Brian (Havok1). I'd like to believe that Duane is responding to Brian's inquiry of "Dude, are you okay?"

KaitlynBellydance011.jpg

Because it wasn't too long afterwards that this glorious photo-op for the ages presented itself.

KaitlynBellydance032.jpg

Sure, there's a picture of me sitting on a park bench intoxicated during last years MBBII, but this picture beats any and all other party pictures. Yes, that's my middle finger. Yes, that's Kelly exposing himself. And yes, that's Duane passed out at the table. Note that this photo was taken just minutes before five of the biggest bouncers in the world showed up to escort "those who have had too much to drink" out of the bar. Maybe all of us laughing and the camera flash drew their attention? Sorry Duane. In all honesty, Duane wasn't the first casualty. My son Tim crashed and burned 2 hours earlier at 11PM. I got Tim out of there and sobered up enough where he could almost stand without assistance and then rescued Duane from the wrath of the bouncers.

Kudo's to Ron&Brenda for once again opening their home and resort town up to us. We will continue to attend MBB's and have a blast for as long as you'll have us! We're already looking forward to next year. The bonds of friendship continue to grow stronger each year.

P.S. >>> I hadn't read the last few posts about "changing the starter and buying the beer" until just now. I was drunk enough at Ron's on Saturday where I'd probably have taken you up on that bet Duane! But with longtubes I'd probably have lost.... and the way we were drinking that would have cost me. I'm happy it worked out the way that it did!

Ron I have to add my sincere thanks to you and Brenda for another awesome time. Ya'll are great hosts and I wouldn't miss MBB for the world! Even though she hasn't openly admitted it, the wife had a fun time too! The plan for next year...ridin' up in the coupe!! It was great seein' everyone again and glad I didn't kill anyone with a horse shoe...but there's always next year! :hide

Why amongst all those pics of Duane is he never smiling except for when the owl was involved? You guys told me he had some bad experiences with an owl but now I wonder if it wasn't some sort of sick sexual feather ruffling encounter. I mean LOOK!! He's even kissing the bird.

Now that is SICK!! :po

Looks like you guys had a great time.

Billy and I were discussing the same thing about the regulator. I'm gonna see if the battery will recharge just sitting and if not I'll put a charger on it and have everything tested.

Once again, it was a great time. Great food, great people, great times. Ron and Brenda go all out for this and anyone who can make it really should. I've already got next year on the calendar. As for the bar pic, would ya'll believe me if I told you that was propped just for your viewing pleasure? Ehh, didn't think so. And for the snake, it's a GOOD thing I didn't see it.

You guys really do drink a lot. :craz

Happy to see WaldoPro make the scene.

Would combining the drinking and mini-golf be in the future?

Sorry it has taken me so long to jump in on this, but we left Ron's and went north to another beach to continue our vacation. Jennifer and I had a wonderful visiting with Ron and Brenda, the family and of course all you other knuckleheads that made the trip. Everything was perfect as usual.

For those of you that have never made it, this is truely what this hobby is all about. This puts faces to all these screen names and you get to know the people behind the cars, even the cars that can't make the trip. There's always a fireworks display. And its fun for the whole family, ask my 4 year old Wyatt! He was so dirty, we let him panhandle for a little while on the way home. :lol Unfortunately we didn't pull out the camera this trip since we were carrying around our 4 month old, but I did get a few pics with my phone I'll load later. Ya'll start planning for next year, its always the weekend of fall bike rally. Start putting away a dollar a day now. Can't wait until next year.
