MC pushrod adjustment tips

Ok, I think I finished my trans cooler lines, moving on to MC and booster. What is the trick to adjusting the MC/booster rod to the correct lenght? How do you tell? Want to get it spot on before I bench bleed the MC.

Hi Jon

First , bleed your MC on a bench . see:
http://www.ehow.com/video_2327999_bench ... html or

Best way IMO : MC in the bench , 2 lines with the ends IN the brake fluid and pushing with a screwdriver several times till no air is showeble.

then you have to adjust the pushrod from the booster to the MC.
That takes just a few measurements but be sure the adjustable pushrod don't load the piston of the MC in its rest position.

Thanks, Jon

Measure the masters plunger from bottom of hole to top of masters ring for total depth.
Now subtract the masters ring, this give you depth of plunger. adjust rods lenght 1/16 inch shorter by measuring rod from a straight edge placed across booster mounting face to end of rod.

Thanks for the video Bruno and thanks Mach1Rider, that was also what I was looking for, I knew there was a measurement to take from and a backoff amount.
Thanks again, as always the board comes through :bowdown.
