MC Question

I bought the Granada swap kit a few years ago from diskbrakeswap. I beleive it came with a 74 maverick MC. My car has the granada brakes up front and explorer disc brakes in the rear. The pedal is really soft and almost goes to the floor so I am assuming from what I have read that this MC is made for drum brakes in the rear. So what MC do I need?

All the lines are new, brakes have been bled. I have a proportioning valve on the rear brakes as well.

Thanks!

I am between the 85/86 Mustang SVO M/C and the 85 Lincoln Towncar. The mustang is a larger bore at 1 1/8 and the towncar is 1"

The M/C I have now is 15/16" and the pedal is just too soft for me.

I know the larger bore will require more leg power to push it in.

Opinions on either?

Thanks

I also added the 4 cylinder Foxbody booster on mine (Mustang Steve). Pedal effort is minimal for excellent braking.

+5 for S or T!!

the strut rods and a set of roller spring perches are small changes that yield big improvements.

I actually went with the aluminum one from S or T, should be here tomorrow.

I already have roller perches from Opentracker, I plan to get the strut rods in the future

FWIW, I fielded the same question to Steve at Ultrastang asking which MC he recommended for 4wheel disc car (factory power front, SSBC kit rear) and he replied that the '99-2004 SN95 Mustang V6 master cylinder would be a better choice over the '87-'93 Fox MC.
