Sitting here early Christmas morning as my daughter and her husband get ready to head home from a surprise visit here over the last 5 days. For the first time in my life I am celebrating Christmas without my parents, but, I have also had the fortune of celebrating with all of my kids together for the first time as well. Having all 4 of our kids and their families here was indeed very special and has made coping with the loss of my parents just a little easier. Having family near during tough times is indeed a blessing. I hope you all are afforded these same blessings. Let's also hope for a great new year as I am glad to put 13 in the rear view mirror.
