I think I might go to another Ford dealer north of my home and see about selling there. It is in the process of being sold, the local John Deere dealer and the chevy dealership owner have supposedly purchased it, the old owner was losing it due to huge gambling debts is the rumor.

Rod:
Have you thought at all about selling refrigerators to eskimos?

Well that was short lived---the Ford dealership said come in to talk the first week of april when new guys take over. They are doing no changes right now---works for me--I am not in a hurry.

Make sure you work the phrase "I bet I could greatly improve the bottom line and move alot of cars for you" into the conversation.

With the background story I'd change it to "I'll bet you the dealership I can move a lot of cars for you"
So when the GM guy buys it will he still be selling Fords? Sounds like a conflict of interest :confu
Good luck in April, they didn't tell you to come back April 1st did they?

I doubt if either owner spends much time at the dealership, the John Deere guy owns 4 JD franchises and the G.M. has a pretty successful GM, Chrysler/Jeep franchise ---maybe they will combine them all into one "Super Dealership"--I have seen pics of Ford/GM dealerships together but I have never been to one.
