Thought I'd post this for giggles and if anyone is going to do the swap.

the 32 v mod motor is cool, but it is wider and weighs almost as much as my 429 and it's only 281 cu in!

More....note the width of the of the Modular is a little wider that what it appears on the ruler. Add 2 1/2" for a total width of 29" at the widest part of the valve covers (cam sprocket protrusions).

I using a Teksid block and fully dressed with headers and engine oil, less the A/C unit it weighs in at 412 lbs. As I remove and add to the Vert, I am weighing everything. I'm hoping to loose at least 140lbs in the front and I'm now at -80 compared to the original 302 car weight.

Yes, its 60 or 80 lbs lighter than an iron block. I'm weighing every thing that is coming off the car and all that is going into it.

I never compared weight between the 03 4.6 to the 351W that I removed from the car. I was told that the 4.6 was roughly 85lbs heavier. Granted the 351W had aluminum heads and intake, the 4.6 felt alot heavier moving it around and setting it in the car for mockup. I wish I had weighed them for a comparison. Which mine is a iron block compared to the teksid aluminum.
