Mondays are gonna kill me...

...well this one might, if my luck keeps up. Bright and early this morning, we hopped in my buddy's pickup truck and headed out to a junk yard in the middle of nowhere to pick up some parts he had already bought. There is a tiny dusting of snow out and it looks like the wind has been blowing it all over the roads, but it's not bad at all for this time of year here in Ohio, besides it's too cold to snow any more.:rofl

We're going down a narrow, bumpy country road about 2 miles from the place when the rear end of the truck suddenly hooks to the left, and we go spinning end over end down the road. My buddy finally manages to straighten it out and we SLOWLY continue on our way. As my buddy commented, neither of us is gonna need any redbull today...that sure woke ME up.

We got the parts and I got home with no problems. I started carrying some speakers down the stairs so I could test the stereo rig I picked up at Goodwill. At some point, I tripped and went down the stairs a$$-first as the speakers slid out of my hands and slammed into the bedroom wall at Mach 1.

There is a big hole in the drywall and no skin left on the knuckle of my right thumb. What really ticked me off is when the adrenaline wore off...that's 2 shocks to my poor little heart today; I need a drink and a nap...if this crap keeps up, I might be dead by 5pm. :rofl

Anybody else having a crappy day or is it just me?

Just a pretty normal day here at work for me. I stayed up too late last night playing the boys' X-box but other than that it's all good. Pretty much a skeleton crew here today, which is fine with me...less people to bug you with stupid questions so you can get some work knocked out. At lunch I ran over to Ace and picked up a new bolt for my ground strap plus a few extra star washers, spent a whopping 91 cents.

BTW, I was playing the boys X-box last night because they were given a game that basically has you as a member of a recon unit and it's fun to blow stuff up and / or kill bad guys. It's actually pretty addicting. :rofl

Crappy day?

You're not at work. You've gone sledding. You've gone to a junkyard. You get to do some drywall repairs. And you have a war wound.

I'm sitting in a little office waiting for a phone to ring that never will as everyone (like you) is on vacation.

Trade?

All I have to look forward to today is blowing the snow off the driveway. Life is rough this Monday. :craz

Dave:
PM me your phone number, and I'll have all of your local tanning salons calling you for free sessions!

I figured he'd be busy with the voucher for a free piercing someone sent him.

I spent the majority of the day in the Urgent Care Clinic with my wife, who has a stomach infection. The rest of it has been spent in a car driving my wife around, or my wife or son, Or going to get prescriptions filled, blah blah blah.

I'm trying not to complain, but it's been a LONG day, and the 3year old still has a few hours of awake time, and the teenager wants a lift to and fro the movies. I'm tired.

I thought today was gonna be a long boring day locked in the office. At this point, I wish it had been.

Glad you didn't break any bones, Kyle. Keep the wheels on the road, and the speakers off the walls.

Steve

Had to drive 6 hour round trip for a 20 minute service call, nearly teeboned some moron who sped across 3 lanes of on coming traffic, killer headache, kinda Monday. I hope tomorrow is a boring, stare at my laptop screen for hours kinda day, cuz today was crap.

On a lighter note, it's my wife's and I one year anniversary.

Well, it got worse. That funny feeling in my ear turned into a migraine and the new $1000 refrigerator fell out of the truck and hit the pavement at 65mph. Anybody want an expensive jigsaw puzzle? F My Life indeed.

Steve & Jamie, sorry to hear about your troubles. Maybe we can all be miserable together.

From the Momma's and Poppa's,

"Monday Monday, so good to me,
Monday Monday, it was all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday morning, Monday morning couldn't guarantee
That Monday evening you would still be here with me.

Monday Monday, can't trust that day,
Monday Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way
Oh Monday morning, you gave me no warning of what was to be
Oh Monday Monday, how you could leave and not take me.

Every other day, every other day,
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But whenever Monday comes, but whenever Monday comes
You can find me cryin' all of the time

Monday Monday, so good to me,
Monday Monday, it was all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday morning, Monday morning couldn't guarantee
That Monday evening you would still be here with me.

Every other day, every other day,
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But whenever Monday comes, but whenever Monday comes
You can find me cryin' all of the time

Monday Monday, ...

I am so sorry to hear your Monday Blues!

A refrigerator fell out of your truck at 65MPH?

Man, that is a sucky day.....

Aren't fridges supposed to be transported upright?

Laying it down for short distances is fine but not for to long. If you do, it needs to stand upright for a time to allow the cooling gas to settle.......from the tails I have been told. I have done this in the past with no problem.

As to the one pictured, if that is after the high speed exit, it won't matter.......

That's exactly what happened, it was upright in the first place, now some pieces are upright. :craz

Took it out of the truck this morning...if the top-left corner wasn't crushed, it would be usable...amazingly, nothing is actually broken, just beat to shat. All of the plastic parts are A-OK, W-T-F?

After looking at the box, it had been cut all the way open down the front, and poorly taped back together...I wonder what the "fine folks" at the store will say about that?

PS: Dave, I hear that spray tan works great. :rofl

Hehehehe, take it back and tell then to look at what you found when you took it out of the box. Hehehehehe
