More Boating Fun

I went back down to San Carlos, Mexico and got to play with my boat three days while there. My friends started me out the first day when we had a lot of wind and as much as 4-foot-high waves. I learned how to ride the trough that day, but held it to about 20 miles an hour. But, by the third day, I was cruising at 60 mph and having a blast. It did help that the sea was glassy that last day.

The boat is running like a dream, but we're still figuring out some of the handling controls. It was cool to look back and see the roostertail it would make at times. Here's a photo of one, and also one that proves I am driving the boat.

Alright, I hate you now.

Just kidding, I'm just jealous.
My boat just went in to get winterized for a nice long 6 month slumber.

Looks like a blast. Keep the pictures coming for us snowbounders to dream of better days.

Hope you did have a blast out there.
Looks awesome.
twin props ??

Yep, twin Chevy big blocks with 1200 hp combined. It's probably the fastest boat down there at 85 mph, including the police.

I'm going back down over my birthday and Thanksgiving to play some more, so I'll get some more photos. I'd like to get some from the shore of the boat cruising.

love that boat! seen a full pic in one of your posts.

I'll be in the mayan for a week starting Dec 3rd waiting for a ride :shrug

In San Carlos? I won't be there then, but my boyfriend can always take the boat out.

Nice - I'm jealous, I just filled my big block with antifreeze.

OTOH, the crane gold rockers and isky cam are in for the winter project :yah

So, next year should be even more fun

The best part about San Carlos is that I'll never have to winterize the boat.

Sounds like a great winter project!

When I read the thread's title I thought it said "Motor Boating Fun"... :thu

Imagine my disappointment with the G-rated pictures of the thread! :wth

Looks like fun anyway...
