Motor Mounts...

The stock style motor mounts are starting to split on my car. I was thinking of using the Lakewood motor mounts as opposed to using stock replacements. Lakewood states they are high durometer rubber.

Anybody have any experience with Lakewood motor mounts for a windsor?

I used Lakewood mounts on my 302 way back when with no problems - better than stock replacements since all the holes lined up OK. and i like the way they 'interlock' so your engine doesn't try to go through the hood when the insulator goes. . .

Thanks Robert, I got my order in for a pair today. I built my own chassis mounts using the originals when they were still good. Hopefully the lakewoods bolt right up without any trouble. We'll see next week...

When my stock mounts split, I too swapped in a pair of Lakewood Muscle Motor Mounts for my 302. They fit perfect and have performed flawless ever since

The lakewood mounts arrived today... one side needed very little persuasion, the other lined up perfectly. I got both installed in less than 30 minutes. It's always nice when things go together easily.
