Moving day

Well today was moving day. We ended up needing 3 trucks and then some. We even put stuff in the boat to move it. What a nightmare. My garage took up one whole truck. And I rented a 5x9 trailer for the big stuff like me engine and transmission, riding mower, air compressor etc.

Started at 8 am and the movers left at 7pm. Now we have boxes everywhere to unpack. Can't even walk through the house.

Only one injury. Stupid me dropped a floor jack right on my big toe. Spent the rest of the day hobbling around.

Good job!
Way to smash your toe! At least it wasn't something girly that you dropped.... :whis

Moving sucks but I so want to move right now........

Congrats and good luck.

My wife, Julie, hate the boxes every phase. Our last move, she took a week to everything put away. Fastest move and settle ever.

I disliked moving from our previous home in 1992. nearly 22 years later, I've accumulated a LOT more stuff (George Carlin standup routine) and would dread moving.

Congrats on the new pad. Hope you're happier....

OUCH! think you will lose the nail??--I hope my next move is after a auction!

Hell, probably gonna lose the toe. Looks painful.
I hate moving also. However, our recent move was the "kids-are-almost-grown-downsize-move". Dropped about 1/2 in house size and gave away half the furniture and other stuff. Called the local charity and told them to send a big truck. Easiest move ever.

I'm betting will lose the nail. It's getting more purple today. Could not sleep last night at all. It just kept throbbing.

I have some Percocet for my broken ankle I'll give you. They work pretty good!

if the pain gets too great, drill a small hole in the nail to relieve the pressure.

1/4 inch oughta do it---also had an old boy tell me that smashed fingers didn't hurt near as much if you "soak em in cider" reckon it would help a smashed toe also!

I was in high school and I had never heard that old play on words--took me a while--in cider---"inside her."
