Moving to Salt Lake City

Well, I've made a big decision and moved to Salt Lake City (well, I'm in the process of moving to SLC). I accepted a new job with Disney Interactive Studios (video game production), and I started last week. Our house goes on the market in the SF Bay area in a couple of weeks, but we'll see how that goes (we may end up leasing our house). My wife is still working in the bay area, and we're trying to decide when she makes the move here, but that will depend on the home sale and her work situation. Anyway, it's the beginning of a new adventure!

So who on StangFix lives in Utah? (I believe Mel aka:guruatbol lives in UT, but far from SLC.)

Any knowledgeable folks have recommendations for a good Mustang Club to join around these parts?

Wow that is a big change. Off the top of my head the only SLC member that I can think of is Epperstang. Hope that you are still going to make Knott's next year. Maybe you can caravan down with Mel. :craz I do not know your :swmbo but is she really going to give up

I don't live in SLC but I work there and am up there days on end. I usually stay at the Radisson by the airport. Our shop is over by the Gateway Mall.

I am happy to have some more Fixers in the area.

I guess congrats are in order.

I WILL be at Knott's this year, so maybe we can caravan down there!

Freaking sweet! What role do you play? I'm a developer, and a Disney nut so I'm super curious :)

Of course, video game programming is a whole different world than what I do...but still I'd like to know what you're up to!

Congrats on the big move. I have a lot of family in SLC, great, amazing people...but that's about all I know :)

Well, I'm bummed you're going altogether, but I wish you well! I look forward to seeing you at Knotts, though!

Thanks for all the support y'all. I'm definitely going to miss being close to the Nor Cal StangFix crew. Time to start a new crew here in the wild west!

Yeah, video game programming is a little unique, but writing code is writing code, right? I'm actually taking on a development manager roll on my first project (but I don't write code). The projects seem to be good with lots of creative work being done. It ought to be fun.

Are you already there? If not, definitely stop by the BAMA meeting (6:30 for dinner) and say goodbye!
We'll miss you!
Stan

We'll miss ya Mike...and just when we had a great gang of 67-68 fastbacks to terrorize NorCAl with. :rp :rp :rp :rp :po

Enjoy the area and don't forget your bike. You are real close to some fun roads.

Thanks again, y'all. I'm gonna miss the SF Bay area and all the fine folks in the Mustang community... not to mention all those amazing tracks in the area.

Stan, unfortunately, I'm already working in SLC. I'm just flying home on weekends right now.

I'm gonna miss you Mike. No wait, I don't live there anymore!

Good luck with the job, sale of the house, moving the wifey and buying a new house.

Brian I am going to be in Boise next week end.

Mike, there is a great track on the way up 201 just as it ends by the Airport.

I pass by it every week in the summer season. Also Vegas is 6 hours from you and I am on the way. We can go to either track. Not hard at all.

Don't be a stranger, if you need any help let me know. I am in SLC very often with the bus.

I know all the good lunch spots.

Mel
