muffler suggestions

I will be getting a new pypes x pipe system from the headers back with teh dual tips on my 69 mach with a windsor. Was thinking of getting the violator mufflers but had a couple people say they sounded like a truack. I want a nice deep tone like a big block. What are you guys running and ever hear any pypes stuff?

Before I restored my 66, I had Dynomax turbo's installed (no crossover) and they sounded mean! Now I run an X pipe and Dynomax round race bullets and just sounds bad arse! The race bullets are fairly loud though.

I read in Mustang Times (MCA) that Dynomax is making a new muffler like the FMS ones with the valve in it that opens under acceleration for more of a straight through flow:

Summit has them listed @ $100ea. with a $25 rebate on one right now it looks like, show them to be in stock 4/1/10

I've never used Dynomax products and was leaning towards Magnaflow but it looks like these are stainless also.
Rick, have you been happy with your Dynomaxs?

Rick, you didn't eat those brownies I left at your house did you?? :ecit

By the way I'll be back in the FW next week, I'll bring more brownies...maybe we can figure out what IS on your car.

LOL, I know there is a big stamp on the bottom of the muffler, I'll have to crawl under there tonight and snap a Pic to know for sure....

My son has baseball on Thursdays, may have to reschedule for another night when you can come by the house. I'll even fire the car up for ya... if it starts...

My exhaust setup

351w
-JBA shorty headers
-2.5" pipe all the way out the back
- X pipe
- Dynomax Ultra Flow mufflers.

I had originally installed SpinTech Sportsman mufflers, but for my taste, they were just a bit too loud for every day driving.

Then, following JohnPro's lead, I purchased a set of stainless steel Dynomax Ultra Flow mufflers, and I like them much more. They're more quiet at idle and light throttle, but really wake up in the higher rpm range. I no longer set off the neighbor's car alarm when I warm up the Mustang.
