We had our annual show at a local HS this year, drive thru judging went ok until a '70fb intake caught fire from overloaded carb bowls, no damage but had people scrambling until someone smothered it. I suggested a non powder ext. and fire blanket for next year.
Cool van, pergo floors and shag:
The seatback embroidery finished it off for me!
Talked to the owner of this GT350, he stated it one of 7 survivors (unrestored) and he open tracks it regularly:
I took the wifes car to show (no judging for club members) and as usual the ladies liked it:
This new continuation GT-40 showed up and the owner was very nice and raced with Paul Newman, etc. in some classes in his earlier years. He's 75yo (hence the racing #), his wife just gave him this car for his birthday ($275K if I overheard correctly).
He let me slide into the drivers seat (non adj.) and at 6'1" it was not a good fit. He said the pedals are adj. and Gurney was 6'2" but I couldn't get my knees under the dash with the pedals where they were.
It was perfect weather but a long day of work for a nice show.
