Mustang Finally Has Place of Its Own

Mustang has always had to share garage with other cars, lawn equipment, and grandkids' toys and sports equipment. After decking the attic above the double garage, I was able to clean out the "boat" garage out we had been using for storage.

Here's the almost finished project:

That doesn't look like enough room to R&R the engine and drive train :Mark

Nice Jack!! :thu

Nice Jack. Now a cover to keep it clean. Or is it in a kleen room. Do you have to go through special processing and put on a white suite, hat and booties in order to use that garage?

Damn perfectionists. :guns :guns :guns :roll :thu :thu

Great garage. :thu I'm just jealous. :pbj

Very nice. Heck, I'd just like to be able to walk around mine w/o turning sideways. :shrug

Most of us don't need to do that very often... :nut

You park your car in an operating room?

Nice set up.

I had a shed built out back a while ago and moved a lot of the boys' crap out there to keep it away from the Mustang...shortly after one of them used a bike hand brake to put a $250 scratch in the Mustang's front fender.

The Mustang doesn't park by itself though....it has a '79 TA for a roommate.

Very nice! I'm ashamed of my garage.... I have close to a dream garage that my business has completely taken over. The section for my mustangs and toys has become somewhat of a body shop and now is a dusty disaster.....

That's a really nice garage... I figure once my current project is done that I'll try to bring mine up to your "before" standards...

Speaking off support - how's the reassembly going? Weren't you picking up parts a while back?
:rulz :wop

Since I didn't thread jack...

I have all the parts to re assemble, BUT

as I was checking it all out, getting the cam degree'd, shimming the shaft rockers to the sweet spot, I noticed that the lifter bore in #4 intake (which is what caused the carnage) is beat up from the pushrod dancing around in the bore. I've got to go get a cylinder hone and see if it will clean it up. If not, I'm gonna toss the block in the pond so the fish have a spawning spot.
