FALLOWFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A Ford Mustang was split in half Monday afternoon when it was t-boned by a tractor-trailer in Washington County.
The Mustang was turning left onto Coyle Curtain Road in Fallowfield Township when it was struck by the trailer, splicing the car into two pieces.
"The car was torn in half on impact. It appears the Mustang got t-boned by the tractor-trailer," said Fallowfield Township Volunteer Fire Company assistant chief Andrew Popelas. "The call came in with entrapment. When we arrived, the patient was out of the vehicle."Popelas said the driver of the Mustang was flown to a Pittsburgh-area hospital.The driver's condition is unknown.Popelas said the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, but went to a local hospital for precautionary reasons.
