Mustang Project LED Turn Signal Question

When I stop and have my foot on the brake with turn signal on say to turn left, the right brake light will turn off.

So it might appear as a lane change not a stopped turn.

Is this how they work, can someone please confirm. I will call them tomorrow if I don't hear otherwise.

Do you have the sequential turn signals? Mine are sequential and the brake lights function normally. They don't go off with the turn signal on.

As I understand it , the original 1157 bulb has two filaments, one brighter than the other. The dimmer of the two filaments is dedicated to the taillights and the brighter of the two is shared by the brake lights and the turn signals. Due to the sharing, the circuitry gives the turn signal priority so when the turn signal is activated while the brake lights are on, it will cause the brighter of the two filaments to blink while the other side stays solid. From your example, the right brake light should remain solid while the left brake light flashes in response to the left turn signal being activated. Something doesn't sound right.

IIRC the led circuitboard are marked as a left hand and a right hand one .
Did you checked this ??
 
If you convert the taillights to LED , you had to change the flasher also to an elctronic one.Isn't it?
It isn't rocket science but along the way you did mix up the wires , I guess.
Did you test the taillights separetely.?Maybe the right led circuitboard has a failure. :confu
 
Use a meter to see what/where the voltage is at or not. This way you get away from "does the light work" and know for sure.

The brake light should not go out if the opposite side turn signal is functioning. Did it work with the regular bulbs?
