Mustang To Fear door panels with built in speakers

I was talking with a nice couple at a car show yesterday. They have a 67 vert and we were exchanging ideas about our cars. I told them that I did not like the look and design of kick panel speakers so they gave me a heads up about Mustangstofear.com and door panels they sold. They have built in speakers. I like the idea a lot but don't like the use of aluminum on their panels since I don't have aluminum on my dash. If I did this I would likely make my own. Great idea though!

You are really getting bored with your Stang! :lol

Like I said before, pop a FASTBACK roof on top and then a tube chassis.

I never said that I was going to buy them. It is just an interesting idea to get better sound out of their systems. The best sound my car makes is the sound of the blower producing boost. :ecit

Something different than the norm and not to bad of a price....one example shown...

Different inserts are for sure an option. The company that forms the panels for us also have carbon fiber, wood grain and some others. We will be checking that out through them. The brushed aluminum inserts we use is the real good stuff from Burton Antiques, so it's expensive. You can deduct $160 if you don't get it. The other brand available just isn't high enough quality, so the better quality adds to the price of the panel. You can also get them without the speakers and save $100 and use your own. Just in comparison with our pricing, deluxe door panels ready to be installed, which wouldn't even have a speaker option, are 775.00 a set. We have had a great response to the door panels and new interior at the mustang shows. You can email me if you have questions. rich@mustangstofear.com

Thanks, Rich

Rich,

Do you have any pictures of the door panels installed when the door is closed. An across the car view. I want to see how it looks like with the rest of the dash. Can they have black vinyl covering the entire panel or is there something under the aluminum that would not allow the vinyl to lay flat?

There is a pic here of the inside view at this link. http://mustangstofear.com/projecteleanor.php
The door panels are already vacuum wrapped in vinyl and we have three different colors of wood grain and different carbon fibers and other colors that can be used in the insert instead of the brushed aluminum. Another idea, you could actually take one of those inserts and have it upholstered to match your interior or a two tone look.
