That's pretty cool, I didn't realize they had all that going on. I'd like to make the Skip Barber driving instruction for $40 and all the other stuff. Checked out the dyno pulls, sponsored by 5.0 magazine for '79-'13 models?

As referenced by KBMWRS a group of Fixers get together at a bash put on by BeachPony called Myrtle Beach Bash and miniature golf is part of it. Usually happens the weekend of the car show I believe as some attend it while there.

BeachPony's Myrtle Beach Blast is typically the first weekend in October.

looks like a nice event but also looks geared towards the late model crowd. Not that the classics couldn't hold their own but I don't see any in the pics...

Since I did not see a reply to the weather question. Last year (2012) it was HOT, miserably hot (seem to recall 90ish with 200% humidity!). The event is usually held in a mall parking lot so there is someplace to escape.

Last year there were a few classics, not many but the ones that were there were worth seeing imo. A bunch of cars, all the right make and model though :). I have been going down for one of the days off and on for 10 years or so. Always enjoyable and plenty to look at.

In Mid-July I'm in A.C. hibernation. Already stocked up on boiled peanuts and beer so no need to venture out into the furnace called summer. :wth
