After my brother sold his 53 Chevy he picked this up.

It's a 55. He plans to drop a ls engine in it.

10700 is what it brought. Pretty decent profit considering he had less than 5k in the build.

I like the 55 better than the 53. I would probably put a Ford Big Block in it just to piss off the local Chevy guys though.

Should be a fun build. Maybe a 396....

I know it is off topic but I have a 72 Chevy I want to put a Ford engine, trans and rear in but it seems like such a waste. Although the 55 is pretty sweet, it might be worth it!
 
I like Chevy guys. After I finish changing the oil and do a few tweaks in my '50, I'm going to start restoring a friends '51. Yeah baby yeah!
 
I have some very good friends that are Chevy guys. Beat them with my Ford and all they could say was that they had something wrong, bad plug wire exhaust leak, blah blah blah.

One actually got a Ford and loves it.

you know they are all machines. All car companies, well most car companies have designed some cool stuff as well as some duds. I don't mind friendly rivalry with my Chevy buddies but I do not understand when people get down right hateful over what brand of car you like.
 
It's not the brand of car you like, kinda to each his own. I just hate seeing the cross breeding.

I don't think I have ever experienced true hatred. I think it's just that the Chevy guys are so lacking of intellect they come off as angry due to a shortage of multiple syllable vocabulary.

In HS I nearly got beat up for being a Ford guy.
I read some comments on other forums where guys are just plain mean.
I don't get it.

I guess the lack of a little bit of brain is the cause of such stupid behaviour.
 
To each their own, I started out as a camaro guy in high school. Switched to a mustang when I was 19 and never looked back. It's all about choices in life. Of I kept the camaro who knows where I'd be now. Probably still have my mullet. Lol

At least you're better than a typical Camaro guy. He can't talk about his mullet in the past tense.
