My new to me truck

I wanted a full size after owning my 05 GMC Canyon since new and since I didn't use it as a commuter anymore, I wanted a full size. I looked for a while for a new body style f150 fx4, but never found the right deal. My wife passed this truck siting on a lot for a while and kept talking about it, so I finally went and looked at it. Leather, lifted, wheels and tires... I liked it and made a deal. I've had it a month and miss my little trucks economy but other than that I'm pretty tickled with it. Here's a few pics as I just washed it for the first time.

Apparently, my stang is the only Ford I'm suppose to own. Tried to talk the wife into a Edge, but she wanted the Acadia... looked for a F-150 she liked the Silverado :hs

that's okay. I'm not a big fan of GM but they make some nice stuff. I like Pontiac's but they quit making those!!! :rant

(Sorta) Nice truck bill!-(i'm not fond of GM)

Lots of people (up north) are having trouble with those; The 4cylinder cut out Is screwy.

Just a heads up-The top end of the engine is where the most trouble has been, My cousins are Big time CHEVY boys

4 cousins, 4 new chevys
GM replaced the pistons & rings in one/ Valve Work on another/ Oil pump on the 3rd/ And a broken valve spring on the last truck!- I hope you don't have problems

is that the "rebel" model?

That 4-cyl crap is junk IMO... my brother has a 06 with the 5.3 and gets 17-18. Mine is lucky to do 14. I heard of excessive oil use because of the 4-cyl stuff but not the other. I've considered having a custom tune put on it to turn off the 4-cyl stuff, but haven't owned it long enough to decide if I want to.

Rebel model :shrug :shrug

Yup the oil consumption is what led to the Pistons and rings truck, He was going through 2-3 quarts of oil every 2-3 days, Then one day the truck shut down because of some "sensor"?

I personally would do the custom tune just for peace of mind.Ive heard The cylinder shut off doesn't give much MPG because it only shuts 4 down when exiting off ramp and going down hill.? :shrug

The "rebel" model was the answer to the raptor, A 4 or 6" lift? cant remember and 35" tires, Those tires look like they are around 33"? but its hard to tell with those big wheel wells.

It's just a LTZ model with aftermarket lift and yes 33 inch tires. I'll keep an eye on the oil and see how it does. Thanks for the heads up. This truck is far from new as I didn't want a payment (ended up with one, but 125 bux a month for a few years is cheap), it's got 95k miles on it.
