My wife finally broke me.

After driving a convertible as my daily driver for 20 years, I finally broke down and bought my first 4 sedan ever. I sold my Volvo C70 convertible this weekend.
I did manage to hang on to it for 2 years after the little girl was born, but driving our jeep everywhere as our family car was killing us on gas.

Now I really need to get the mustang done so I can drive that when the weather is good.

Here's a picture of the C70. No pics of the new car yet. I pick it up Wednesday.

I'm not sure it will be ok.
I'll post pics of the new car when I get it. Here's a hint it has a cat on it.

I cant afford the new s60. I didn't want a car payment so we bought used. Cash deal. All the used s60s I drove were beat by soccer moms.

So yes, we picked up a JAG. I know I will probably regret it, but I most likely will only keep it a couple years.

I guess I should have kept it then. Maybe it would be a collector some day.

I heard they were killing it on my Volvo forum.

Picked up the new, used, boring 4 sedan last night. Following the rules so here's a couple pictures. It was raining today so it pretty dirty.

Hope you luck with the Jag. I was looking at one a few years back and in my research came across info where the auto trans are prone to failure. Went and looked at a rebuilt one and the guy was throwing in a spare trans because that one was having shifting issues. My buddy both his ex-wife one and within a year spent 3k in repairs on the trans.

Yeah, I have heard the horror stories. The older jags seem to be worse. This model is basically a Ford underneath so I am taking a chance. I put 80 miles a day on my car so I will probably only keep it a year or two.

The Ford years were the worst from what I read. I do love the looks of them. I had my heart set on a 79 XJ when I was a kid that a neighbor had rusting away.

Well then this should teach my wife not to argue with me about spending the money on the car I really want.

I would have secretly put money down on a marauder, 4 doors V8 RWD 25-28 MPG and a five star crash rating. I should have let you borrow my brothers crown Vic sport/ or my interceptor very comfy ride and still fun to drive!

Those are nice, but not my style.

One of the reasons we went with the JAG was the all wheel drive. As long as I'm stuck in this stupid state it helps with the long commute in the winters.

A body of mine has an X type and had to put down $6k to rebuild the AWD system on his. Other than that it has been a pretty good car. Nice looking car.

I want to trade my wifes GMC Acadia for a 07-up 5 series BMW AWD. We just got the Acadia in January. We traded a CTS that we traded an Altima we had for 4 months (wife hated it) that we traded her 01 3 series Bimmer for. The Acadia just doesn't have the fun to drive factor as the previous sport sedans.

For what I paid for it, if that happens its going to be stripped and sold for parts. After I sold my volvo it was very little out of pocket for the JAG . We have no debt except our house and just didn't want a car payment for a while until we figure out if we are moving or not. I'll be happy if I get 2 years out of it.
